Project: Showalter Fountain - The Birth of Venus

Description: Indiana University’s Fine Arts Plaza is home to Robert Laurent’s bronze sculpture, The Birth of Venus, in the Showalter Fountain. In the winter of 2024, BPS deinstalled the five fish to perform repairs and maintenance off site. In the spring of 2025, they returned to repair, clean, wax and buff, Venus.
